Uploading to community
Share your recipes and books with the community by uploading them from the desktop app. Uploaded content goes through a review process before appearing on the website.
Uploading a Recipe
- Click the Upload button on a recipe card in the Library
- Make sure you are signed in
- The app checks your upload limit and for duplicate titles
- If all checks pass, the recipe is exported and uploaded
Uploading a Book
- Click the Upload button on a book card in the Library
- The same limit and duplicate checks apply
Upload Limits
Your tier determines how many items you can upload per month:
- Free -- 5 uploads per month
- Creator -- 8 uploads per month
Your remaining uploads are shown in the top bar of the desktop app.
Duplicate Detection
Before uploading, the app checks if you already have a published item with the same title. If a duplicate is found, the upload is blocked. Recipes and books share the same title namespace per user, so a recipe and a book cannot have the same title.
Paid Books
- Creator tier accounts can set a price on books
- Free accounts cannot upload books at all
- A price badge is displayed on paid book listings
What Gets Uploaded
The upload creates a zip archive containing:
- Recipe or book metadata
- Ingredients and steps
- All images and videos
- Your display name as the producer
