1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Foodie Moiety website, desktop application, or any related services (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.

2. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to upload, share, or distribute content that:

• Is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or harmful
• Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
• Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Harasses, threatens, or intimidates any person
• Impersonates another person or entity
• Violates any applicable law or regulation

Foodie Moiety reserves the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

4. Content Ownership and License

By uploading content to Foodie Moiety, you affirm that you own or have the right to share the content and that it does not infringe on any third party's rights. You retain ownership of your content.

You grant Foodie Moiety a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and make your content available to other users through the Platform. For paid content, this license enables us to facilitate sales and deliver purchased content to buyers. This license survives termination of your account. Content you have shared with the community will remain available on the Platform after account deletion.

5. Paid Content and Purchases

Purchases of paid cookbooks are final. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Payment processing is handled by Stripe; Foodie Moiety does not store your payment card information. Creators who sell content through the Platform receive their share of revenue as described in our creator terms.

6. Content Review and Removal

All uploaded content is subject to review before publication. Foodie Moiety may remove any content at any time for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these terms, legal requirements, or quality standards. We are not obligated to provide an explanation for content removal.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Foodie Moiety does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Recipes and cooking instructions are provided by community members and have not been professionally verified. Always use your own judgment when preparing food.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Foodie Moiety and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this page.
